The invention discloses a traffic incident monitoring method and system, and relates to the technical field of visual identification and artificial intelligence. In order to solve the technical problems that in the prior art, an existing traffic incident monitoring algorithm is complex in sample labeling and cannot be trained, optimized and improved online, the technical scheme provided by the invention is as follows: a model training method comprises the following steps: collecting a video stream to be analyzed; marking a video frame where the abnormal event is located in the video stream to be analyzed in real time; sending abnormal event alarm information; collecting alarm information feedback data; and performing optimization training on the monitoring model according to the alarm information feedback data in combination with the corresponding abnormal event alarm information. The system comprises a system configuration management module used for configuring video streams and abnormal events; the video access module is used for acquiring a video stream; the event monitoring and analyzing module is used for analyzing abnormal events; and the alarm management module is used for sending abnormal event alarm information and responding to feedback data. The method can be used in online evolutionary traffic event monitoring work.
