According to the method, key stations and key station combinations of the urban rail transit network are identified from the two aspects of the global network efficiency change rate and the maximum connected subgraph change rate; constructing a network toughness evaluation model, obtaining toughness characteristic indexes which take global network efficiency change and maximum connected subgraph change as characteristics, describing toughness characteristic change of a fault network in a recovery process, and analyzing a characteristic recovery process and toughness characteristics of the network for different site recovery sequences; obtaining an optimal recovery sequence under different toughness indexes, and evaluating network toughness characteristics; according to the method, the fault toughness characteristics of the urban rail transit network can be analyzed more effectively, the protection of stations and lines can be enhanced conveniently, faults of the urban rail transit network can be prevented, the protection of the urban rail transit can be realized, and the operation safety of the urban rail transit can be guaranteed.
