The method comprises the steps that a plurality of fault diagnosis signal values during operation of the gas-electricity system are detected in real time; if one or more of the fault diagnosis signal values reach a corresponding set sudden stop fault threshold value, the sudden stop fault judgment mark position is 1, so that the gas-electricity system is triggered to carry out fault counting accumulation according to a set task period; wherein one set task period corresponds to one accumulated fault; the set task cycle is smaller than or equal to the communication cycle of the gas-electricity system and the vehicle control system; when the accumulation of the fault count reaches a first accumulation threshold value, the fault is suddenly stopped to pre-confirm a mark position 1, so that a power limiting request mark position 1 is triggered to be sent to the whole vehicle control system according to a communication period, and the whole vehicle control system is triggered to execute power limiting control logic; and in the power limiting control logic, the vehicle control system limits the request power of the vehicle electric driving system according to any power in the power capable of being provided by the power battery system, so that the power battery system independently meets the power requirement of the vehicle electric driving system.
