The invention relates to the field of commercial vehicle heat management systems, in particular to an intelligent dust blocking device for inhibiting flying dust of a cooling fan of a commercial vehicle, and the intelligent dust blocking device comprises a dust blocking plate which comprises a first part and a second part; the initial angle of the second part relative to the first part is a right angle; the executing mechanism is used for providing power for the second part so that the second part can rotate around the hinged position; the road condition detection unit is used for acquiring the vehicle running speed, the road bumping frequency and the flying dust concentration in real time; the heat dissipation monitoring unit is used for obtaining the cooling liquid inlet and outlet temperature difference of the radiator and the fan real-time rotating speed of the cooling fan in real time; and the controller is used for receiving data acquired by the road condition detection unit and the heat dissipation monitoring unit, calculating the optimal target angle of the second part in real time, and dynamically adjusting the second part to the target angle through the execution mechanism. According to the intelligent dust blocking device and the dust blocking method, the technical problem that in the prior art, heat dissipation is poor due to excessive dust suppression, or raised dust is out of control due to heat dissipation priority is solved.
