The invention relates to the technical field of seats, and provides a commercial vehicle seat and a control method thereof.The commercial vehicle seat comprises a first platform, a second platform, a third platform, a seat body, a damping device and a height adjusting device.The damping device comprises a damping spring, at least one pair of transverse damping assemblies and at least one pair of longitudinal damping assemblies; the damping springs are arranged between the first platform and the second platform, the two ends of each damping spring are fixedly connected to the first platform and the second platform respectively, the two transverse damping assemblies in each pair are distributed on the two sides of the first platform in the transverse direction so as to attenuate vibration in the transverse direction, and the two longitudinal damping assemblies in each pair are distributed on the two sides of the first platform in the longitudinal direction so as to attenuate vibration in the transverse direction. Vibration is damped in the longitudinal direction; the height adjusting device is suitable for adjusting the distance between the second platform and the third platform. By means of the arrangement, the damping springs, the transverse damping assemblies and the longitudinal damping assemblies can attenuate vibration in the vertical direction, the transverse direction and the longitudinal direction correspondingly, and attenuation of low-frequency vibration in multiple directions is achieved.
