Aspects of the present disclosure include a charge port with fast phase change material recure. An exemplary charging port may include a plug housing and a DC terminal electrically coupled to the plug housing. The subassembly is coupled to the DC terminal. The subassembly includes a barrel filled with a phase change material and an enhancer. The enhancer includes a top portion and a bottom portion. The bottom portion is embedded within the phase change material and the top portion extends beyond the barrel into the environment. The phase change material removes heat from the DC terminal when charged. The enhancer removes heat from the phase change material for rapid re-curing.
