The invention discloses an accelerator and clutch compound control method for an electric workover rig. An electronic accelerator handle is operated to send an electronic accelerator handle signal to a vehicle control unit VCU; when an electronic throttle handle signal is within a first preset threshold value range, an electromagnetic pneumatic control valve control signal is sent out by utilizing a vehicle control unit VCU to control an electromagnetic pneumatic control valve to act and a clutch to be engaged, and a motor assembly is connected with an angle box; when the electronic throttle handle signal is within a second preset threshold range, a corresponding motor torque signal is sent to a motor assembly by using a vehicle control unit VCU; after the motor assembly receives a motor torque signal, the motor assembly starts to rotate and drives the angle box to rotate. According to the method, the clutch and the accelerator can be controlled at the same time, operation is convenient, the risk that the clutch is forgotten to be removed is avoided, the method is more suitable for an efficient and environment-friendly workover operation scene, and compared with a traditional mode that the accelerator and the clutch are controlled separately, the control method is more convenient and safer.
