The invention provides a charging pile state classification and adjustable potential calculation method and system in a charging station, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining the basic data of the state of a charging pile according to a set time interval; the basic data comprises the number of charging piles in each charging station, the number of occupied charging piles, the charging time of all charging piles in each charging station in each time period and the total electricity consumption of each charging station in each time period; according to the basic data, calculating to obtain the number of charging piles which are being charged by each charging station in each time period, the average charging power and the number of charging piles which are occupied by each charging station but not used; the number of newly-added electric vehicles connected to the charging pile in each time period and the number of newly-added electric vehicles starting to be charged in each time period are obtained through calculation; and according to the values of the number of the two electric vehicles, classifying the charging piles in the charging station according to the states. According to the method, the charging piles in the charging station are classified according to states, and the upper and lower limits of the adjustable potential are calculated.
