The flanged inner ring (205) comprises a flange (210) transverse to the axis of symmetry (X) and comprises a plurality of fixing holes (215a, 215b, 215c) for attaching a wheel. The flanged inner ring (205) includes a continuous tubular body (220) protruding from the flange (210) in an axial direction, where the continuous tubular body (220) includes a plurality of polygonal recesses (225a, 225b). The polygonal recesses (225a, 225b) reduce the weight of the hub unit (235) and improve drainage in the hub unit (235).
