The electric vehicle includes: a motor; a mode selection means that selects one of a plurality of traveling modes including a motor traveling mode and a shift traveling mode by an operation of a driver; a control device that controls the motor so as to travel in the travel mode selected by the mode selection device; and a rotational speed display device that displays the rotational speed of the engine in the engine vehicle that simulates the behavior of torque in the variable-speed travel mode. The control device is configured so as to vary the rotational speed of the engine displayed on the rotational speed display device when transitioning from the motor travel mode to the shift travel mode.
