The method comprises the steps that after an automobile is locked, a first area and a second area are determined according to real-time positioning information of the automobile, and the area of the first area is larger than that of the second area; when the target object enters the first area and does not enter the second area, generating a first alarm signal, starting a first image acquisition device according to the first alarm signal, and acquiring first image data of the target object through the first image acquisition device; under the condition that the target object enters the second area, generating a second alarm signal, starting a second image acquisition device to move along with the target object according to the second alarm signal, and acquiring second image data and action track data of the target object; wherein the second image acquisition device comprises an unmanned aerial vehicle. According to the automobile safety monitoring method, the reliability and the real-time performance of automobile safety monitoring can be improved.
