The method comprises the steps that at least one first key road section with a first attribute in a road network is determined according to attribute information of each road section in the road network, and the attribute information is used for indicating at least one attribute of the road section; for each first key road section, at least one second key road section is determined from the road sections having the connection relation with the first key road section according to the trajectory flow of the first key road section and the trajectory flow of the road sections having the connection relation with the first key road section, and the trajectory flow refers to the number of vehicles passing through the road sections in the historical time period; and determining key road sections in the road network according to the first key road sections and the second key road sections. According to the method, the connection relation between the road sections and the shunting relation between the trajectory flow are combined, the topological structure of the road network is considered, and path planning and route recommendation can be achieved according to the obtained key road sections.
