The invention provides a quay crane rear pull rod mounting system and method. The installation system comprises a crane used for suspending a rear pull rod and controlling the rear pull rod to ascend and descend; the jacking mechanism is used for being arranged below a rear girder of the quay crane, a supporting frame and a gusset plate are arranged on the rear girder at intervals, a first through hole is formed in the gusset plate, the first end of the rear pull rod is used for being hinged to the upper end of the supporting frame, a connecting plate is arranged at the second end of the rear pull rod, and a second through hole is formed in the connecting plate; the optical signal transmitter is used for being detachably arranged in the first through hole and is coaxial with the circle center of the first through hole; and the photoelectric sensing assembly is detachably arranged at the center of the second through hole and used for detecting the optical signal transmitted by the optical signal transmitter and controlling the jacking mechanism to jack the rear girder according to the position of the optical signal. According to the quay crane rear pull rod mounting system, the jacking precision can be improved while the mounting cost is reduced.
