The connecting line between the fastening end of the hook and the free end of the hook opposite the fastening end forms a first angle with the base plate, the first angle being not 90 degrees, and wherein the towing hook apparatus further comprises a buckling bracket connecting the free end of the hook to the base plate and, in said side view, the buckling bracket is configured to be configured to engage the fastening end of the hook with the free end of the hook. The buckling support encloses a second angle with the base plate, the second angle being closer to 90 degrees than the corresponding first angle of the hook such that the base plate, the hook and the buckling support form a triangle in the side view, where the buckling support is formed less robust than the hook, and the buckling support is formed less rigid than the hook. And the buckling support is deformed under the condition that the free end part of the hook is subjected to preset pressure.
