The invention relates to a resistance reduction method for a ship with a bubble type resistance reduction device, relates to the technical field of ships, and aims to solve the problems that fuel is wasted and the propulsion efficiency of propellers is influenced due to overlarge airflow during resistance reduction of the ship, and the method comprises the following steps: S1, obtaining the coordinates of an air route and a sea area of the ship; s2, acquiring state data of the ship; s3, receiving wind speed and wind direction data, sea wave height and direction, and tidal current size and direction; s4, the optimal air flow with the small ship resistance is calculated; s5, the influence of the optimal airflow on the propulsion efficiency of the propeller is judged; S6, whether the power saved by bubble resistance reduction is larger than the power consumed by bubble generation or not is judged; s7, the release unit releases the optimal gas flow; s8, according to the increase/decrease of the ship speed, the air compressor gradually increases/decreases the air flow released by the air release unit; s9, monitoring ship speed and host power changes; and S10, the control system controls the frequency of the air compressor to achieve the optimal air flow. The system has the effects of energy conservation and consumption reduction.
