Provided is a C/C composite material which, when used in a grid for an ion engine, can achieve both corrosion resistance and processability at a high level while achieving a light weight. A C/C composite material for use in a grid for an ion engine, the C/C composite material comprising a completely split carbon fiber nonwoven fabric, the carbon fibers constituting the carbon fiber nonwoven fabric being pitch-based carbon fibers.
