The invention relates to the technical field of traffic planning, in particular to an urban traffic zone division method based on urban taxi origin-destination flow clustering, which comprises the following steps: dividing a research area into a plurality of grids, and acquiring origin-destination order data of taxis in the research area in a certain time period; taking each grid as a node, and taking a taxi origin-destination relation between the grids as a connecting arc between the nodes; taking the traffic flow between the grids as the weight of arc segment connection between the nodes, and constructing an initial topology network diagram; classifying the segmental arcs according to the traffic flow, resetting the segmental arcs of the same type as a unified weight, and establishing a new topological network diagram; and clustering the new topological network diagram by adopting a high-weight arc section priority clustering strategy, and after all nodes are clustered, taking a final clustering result as a traffic cell division result of the research area in a certain time period. The method can accurately reflect the distribution and dynamic change of the traffic flow.
