The invention relates to an outer windshield for a railway vehicle. The outer windshield comprises a first frame installed on a carriage of the railway vehicle, a second frame used for connecting adjacent carriages, and a plurality of telescopic assemblies sequentially connected between the first frame and the second frame in the width direction. The telescopic assembly comprises a first windshield piece and a second windshield piece. An included angle alpha is formed between the first windshield piece and the second windshield piece, and the included angle alpha is configured to be capable of changing the angle, so that the telescopic assembly can stretch out and draw back in the width direction, and the outer windshield can deform in the width direction. In this way, the situation that the first windshield parts and the second windshield parts of the telescopic assemblies deform in a deformation mode to achieve deformation of the outer windshield is avoided, the service life of the outer windshield is prolonged, and the requirements for deformation performance and fatigue strength of the first windshield parts and the second windshield parts are lowered. Meanwhile, the first windshield piece and the second windshield piece do not need to be manufactured through molds, and therefore the manufacturing cost of the outer windshield is reduced.
