The invention relates to a differential brake control method and an aircraft ground direction control system, which can reliably avoid the danger that an aircraft laterally rushes out of a runway at a high speed even when crosswind occurs or pedals are blocked at an unfavorable position. Through execution of the differential brake control method, when a pedal assembly has pedal jamming/failure, a brake pedal instruction of differential brake is switched to control deflection of a target object, the current angle of the pedal assembly is obtained, and the current angle and a pedal deflection angle converted based on the brake pedal instruction are combined to obtain an actual pedal deflection angle; obtaining a target object angle corresponding to the current angle of the pedal assembly according to a preset mapping relation, and determining a function relation between the pedal deflection angle and the target object deflection angle based on ground direction control amplitude limiting logic and the current parameters of the airplane, a target object deflection angle target value corresponding to the pedal position under the ground direction control amplitude limiting logic is obtained, and deflection of the target object is controlled in a servo mode according to the target object deflection angle target value.
