The invention discloses a bidirectional converter traction power supply system, a control method and a readable storage medium, and belongs to the technical field of rail transit, the power supply system comprises N traction substations, a main substation and a control center, the traction substations are internally provided with two bidirectional converters, and the two bidirectional converters are respectively connected with a traction substation I section and an I section bus; the main substation comprises a main substation I section and an I section bus; the control center is located in the main substation, and the control center is in communication connection with the bidirectional converter; the control center is configured to adjust the control mode of the bidirectional converter in each traction substation; and monitoring the loads of the I-section bus and the I-section bus of the main substation based on the control mode, so as to adjust the power proportion of the bidirectional current transformation of the bidirectional converter in each traction substation according to the load balance condition, and based on control mode switching, carrying out ice melting on the contact network of the adjacent traction substations. The objective of the invention is to solve the technical problems of unbalanced load of a main substation, active reverse transmission and icing of a contact network.
