The protection unit comprises a moving plate assembly connected with the upper end of the driving assembly, a rotating assembly arranged on the moving plate assembly, a tool frame arranged on the upper end face of the moving plate assembly and a protection rope arranged on the rotating assembly. According to the plateau photovoltaic power station maintenance equipment, the overall height of the equipment can be greatly adjusted through folding of the rotating assembly, downward moving of the moving plate assembly and downward moving of the lifting plate assembly, and the equipment can penetrate through the lower portion of a photovoltaic support.
