A method for fixing the position of a floating type water photovoltaic array comprises the steps that floating horizontal beams, anchor piles and corresponding anchor ropes are arranged on the outer edge of the peripheral boundary of a whole floating body of the floating type water photovoltaic array; the floating horizontal beam adopts a watertight steel pipe or a steel box beam filled with foamed plastic, is horizontally placed on the water surface outside the whole edge of the floating body of the floating type water photovoltaic array, floats along with the water surface and is connected with the positioning pile by adopting a hoop or a hoop chain and the like on the side of the positioning pile, and the other side of the floating horizontal beam is flexibly connected with the floating body on the edge of the floating type water photovoltaic array. The device is suitable for photovoltaic power generation projects built on water surfaces of rivers, lakes, seas, reservoirs and impounding reservoirs.
