The invention relates to the technical field of traction machines, and discloses a high-stability elevator traction machine which comprises an outer sealing frame, the outer portion of the outer sealing frame is fixedly connected with a traction motor, the outer portion of the outer sealing frame is rotationally connected with a traction wheel, and a transmission mechanism and a buffering mechanism are arranged in the outer sealing frame; the traction motor drives the traction wheel to rotate through the transmission mechanism and the buffer mechanism; a positioning bearing is arranged between the buffer mechanism and the traction motor; through the cooperation of the positioning disc and the movable disc of the buffering mechanism, the traction motor and the input sleeve shaft are in a flexible connection state, and therefore when the traction wheel is controlled to operate or stop, a certain buffering effect is achieved among the traction wheel, the traction motor and the transmission mechanism; the torque force generated by the input sleeve shaft when the traction motor rotates or stops is effectively reduced, and the damage of the sudden torque force to the input sleeve shaft is effectively reduced, so that the use safety of the device is effectively improved, and the service life of the device is effectively prolonged.
