The problem of unstable driving caused by replacement of the target vehicle in the vehicle following driving process is solved.

    本发明公开了一种自适应巡航控制方法及装置,涉及智能汽车技术领域,包括:在自车以自车前方车辆作为目标车进行跟车行驶过程中,获取自车周围的环境数据;根据自车周围的环境数据,检测是否有车辆准备切入自车前方,及目标车是否要切出;当检测到有车辆准备切入自车前方时,根据准备切入自车前方的车辆信息,控制自车速度,使得准备切入自车前方的车辆切入自车前方后,与自车之间的时距满足跟车要求;当检测到目标车要切出后,根据目标车前方车辆的车辆信息,控制自车速度,使得目标车切出后,新的目标车与自车之间的时距满足跟车要求。解决了跟车行驶过程中,更换目标车带来的行驶不平稳问题。
