The multi-zone PTC heater comprises a heating core body and a controller, the heating core body comprises a first heating core body subarea, a second heating core body subarea, a third heating core body subarea and a fourth heating core body subarea which respectively correspond to an automobile main driving position area, an automobile co-driving position area, an area right behind the automobile main driving position and an area right behind the automobile co-driving position; each heating core body partition can be independently controlled by a controller and is used for heating respectively; and the controller is used for responding to one or more requirements of a four-zone power vehicle type requirement, a three-zone power vehicle type requirement and a two-zone power vehicle type requirement to realize independent control of zone heating. According to the multi-zone PTC heater, the technical problem of multi-zone heating of the new energy automobile is solved through independent control over the different zones of the heating core body, the effect that one multi-zone PTC heater product can be applied to multiple automobile types is achieved, and therefore the development cost, the inventory cost and the after-sale part replacement pressure are reduced.
