The invention relates to a device for grounding a shaft, in particular a rotor shaft of an electric machine, comprising a grounding hub (17) via which the shaft to be grounded is electrically conductively connected to ground, preferably a housing (9). In order to now achieve reliable grounding with low production costs, a separate guide element (30) is fastened to the grounding hub (17), which guide element fixes the grounding hub (17) in the rotational direction and/or limits a movement of the grounding hub (17) in at least one axial direction. The invention also relates to a transmission, to an electric axle drive unit for a motor vehicle, and to an electric machine, in which the aforementioned device is implemented.
