The invention relates to an unmanned surveying vessel which comprises a vessel body and an unmanned vessel terminal carried on the vessel body and further comprises a shore-based control terminal remotely arranged relative to the vessel body, and the unmanned vessel terminal is in communication connection with the shore-based control terminal. The shore-based control terminal is used for setting a target waypoint and sending the target waypoint to the unmanned ship terminal; the unmanned ship terminal is used for entering a route mode after receiving the target waypoint, planning a path according to the target waypoint in the route mode to control the ship body to sail at a preset sailing speed, and obtaining ship body state information and ship body surrounding environment information in the ship body sailing process and measuring water body data; and the ship body state information, the ship body surrounding environment information and the water body data are sent to the shore-based control terminal. Measurement operation can be carried out autonomously according to a set route, measurement can be completed automatically with high efficiency and high quality, images and surveying and mapping data can be returned in real time, and fuel oil and personnel cost of traditional measurement are effectively reduced.
