The present invention can omit the addition of a dedicated device, and can achieve the selection of a proper hall terminal for terminal setting from a hall communication path in an elevator control system with a simpler structure. In the elevator control system provided with a control panel (1) and hall terminals (2-1 to 2-n), each hall terminal (2) is provided with a terminal switching control part (27) which temporarily sets the hall terminal (2) as a terminal machine, and the control panel (1) is provided with a communication control part (15) which carries out communication confirmation on the hall terminals (2) and a communication time measuring part (14) which measures communication delay time with the hall terminals (2-1 to 2-n). When a communication error occurs in the communication confirmation, the terminal switching control unit (27-m) of the next hall terminal (2-m) switches the terminal to the next hall terminal (2-m) until the communication delay time in the hall terminals (2-1 to 2-n) is measured, and the communication control unit (15) switches the terminal to the next hall terminal (2-m) on the basis of the measured communication delay time. A hall terminal (2) as a terminal is selected.
