A tension loading drive mechanism ("mechanism") for an unloader is provided. The drive mechanism includes a compressor for increasing fluid pressure. The drive mechanism also includes a plurality of bladders fluidly connected to the compressor to receive fluid from the compressor and expand in a rearward direction along a bucket longitudinal axis. The mechanism also includes a strap system having a plurality of straps attached to each bladder. The strap system also includes a plurality of reels configured to apply a compressive reaction force to an associated bladder via the strap such that the compressive reaction force increases a fluid pressure in the associated bladder to a predetermined drive pressure threshold. The reel is further configured to dispense one of the associated straps at a predetermined step-feed rate such that the associated bladder applies a driving force associated with the predetermined driving pressure threshold.
