The method comprises the following steps: carrying out image acquisition processing at a first frame rate through a vehicle-mounted camera of a vehicle to obtain an image data packet; wherein the image data packet comprises an image frame and frame information, and the frame information comprises illumination intensity; image frames in the image data packet are recognized, and the speed of the vehicle and the number of obstacles around the vehicle are obtained; performing frame rate calculation processing according to the illumination intensity, the vehicle speed and the number of obstacles to obtain a second frame rate; and carrying out image acquisition processing at a second frame rate through a vehicle-mounted camera of the vehicle. According to the invention, the method can achieve the self-adaptive adjustment of the frame rate of the camera, is suitable for various driving scenes, and achieves the balance between resource consumption and algorithm errors.
