As a security countermeasure method for software executed by a vehicle, the software is configured from a plurality of first modules, the vehicle is provided with a ROM for holding a plurality of second modules respectively corresponding to the plurality of first modules, the vehicle confirms whether or not there is an abnormality for each first module among the plurality of first modules, and when an abnormal first module is detected, the vehicle executes a security countermeasure method for the software. An abnormal first module is extracted from the software, a second module corresponding to the abnormal first module is read from the ROM, and the abnormal first module in the software is rewritten into the second module read from the ROM.
