The invention relates to a central motor speed reduction drive axle assembly which comprises a drive motor, a first-stage speed reducer, a second-stage speed reducer and a differential mechanism. The one-stage speed reducer and the two-stage speed reducer are adopted to form an idle-wheel-free two-stage speed reduction structure, and compared with an existing parallel-shaft-structure central motor speed reduction drive axle adopting three or more stages of speed reduction devices, the number of gear pairs is reduced, so that the transmission efficiency of the axle is obviously improved; and meanwhile, the compactness of the overall structure of the axle is obviously improved, the transmission noise and the overall weight are obviously reduced, and the assembly manufacturability and the maintenance convenience of the axle are effectively improved.
