An electromagnetic actuator has: a coil assembly having at least one coil core and a coil arranged circumferentially around the coil core; and a movable magnetic armature body as a movable actuator element, which can be moved by a magnetic field generated by the coil assembly, the armature body being supported by means of a support structure assembly and being movable from a first position into a second position. The invention relates to a support structure assembly for an armature body, comprising: at least two recesses in a first support section, which are formed on the armature body, the recesses being integrated in the armature body and being implemented in the form of at least two recesses which are arranged at a distance from one another in the direction of a support axis of the armature body and which are at least partially formed in the form of a cylindrical shell; and at least two elevations in a second bearing section, the second bearing section being formed on the actuator on the side of the coil assembly, the elevations being implemented in the form of at least two elevations which are arranged at a distance from one another in the direction of the bearing axis of the armature body and which are formed at least partially in a cylindrical shape, the protrusions fit into corresponding ones of the recesses.
