Various systems and methods are presented relating to utilizing on-board technology of a vehicle to minimize road traffic accidents between a pedestrian and an automobile. The vehicle is capable of operating in any of an autonomous, partially autonomous, or non-autonomous manner. By using in-vehicle technology, a vehicle can detect pedestrians crossing a road and other vehicles traveling on the road. The vehicles can determine their respective speeds in conjunction with their respective trajectories. Based thereon, the vehicle can determine whether another vehicle is likely to collide with the pedestrian. In case such an accident may occur, the vehicle may attempt to alert pedestrians and/or other drivers.
