The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a power guarantee target SOC, an actual SOC and a total capacity of a power battery; determining a target charging amount required by the power battery to reach the power guarantee target SOC; determining a first charging speed of the power battery in the previous preset duration and/or determining a second charging speed of the power battery in the previous preset driving mileage; determining the target charging time required by the power battery to reach the power guarantee target SOC and/or determining the target charging mileage required by the power battery to reach the power guarantee target SOC; and generating display information about the target charging time and/or the target charging mileage. The method is used for charging prediction of the power battery when the hybrid power vehicle runs, corresponding reference is provided for a user to carry out follow-up travel planning, and the vehicle using convenience and experience of the user are improved.
