The invention discloses an engine control method of a hybrid power vehicle, a medium, a controller and a vehicle, the hybrid power vehicle comprises an engine and an ISG motor, the method comprises the steps that in response to the shutdown requirement of the engine, the engine is controlled to reduce torque, and the rotating speed of the engine is stabilized at the idling minimum power generation rotating speed through the ISG motor; and when the torque of the engine is reduced to zero and the time when the rotating speed of the engine is stabilized at the minimum idling power generation rotating speed reaches first preset time, the ISG motor is controlled to pull and stop the engine. The method has the advantages that the engine rotating speed control response before shutdown is quick, the engine rotating speed change during shutdown is controllable, and the system state is stable.
