A hydraulic module (200) is provided for a material handling vehicle (100). The hydraulic module (200) may include a mounting frame (210) configured to be mechanically connected to a frame (115) of the vehicle (100), but to isolate the vehicle frame (115) from vibrations occurring in the power pack (200). The mounting frame (210) supports main components (220, 230, 240, 250, 260, 270, 272, 282, 284) of the hydraulic energy recovery system (200) including, for example, a hydraulic tank (220), a hydraulic pump (230), and an electric motor (240). The hydraulic energy recovery system component (220, 230, 240, 250, 260, 270, 272, 282, 284) may be secured to the mounting frame (210) prior to the mounting frame (210) being connected to the vehicle frame (115). Standardized integrated components (290), such as cables, tubes and wires, may be used to connect the module (200) to electrical and hydraulic system connections of a vehicle (100). A fluid level sensor (512) and an indicator (510) may be provided to indicate a fluid level of the hydraulic tank (220). A check valve (282, 284) may be mounted to the adapter block (270, 272) to ensure low varying pressure during operation.
