The method comprises the following steps: determining the initial display brightness of the electronic outside rear-view mirror; the vehicle body operation condition and external environment information are monitored in real time; and according to the vehicle body operation condition and the external environment information, determining and executing the adjustment brightness of the electronic outside rear-view mirror. According to the invention, automatic adjustment of the screen brightness of the electronic outside rear-view mirror is realized under various scene conditions, so that the brightness adjustment process is more intelligent and reasonable, the sight line interference of a driver is reduced, and the user experience is enhanced; and different requirements on the screen brightness of the electronic outside rear-view mirror in different driving scenes can be met. Besides, automatic adjustment of the brightness of the electronic outside rear-view mirror screen in multiple scenes is realized, and meanwhile, according to active brightness setting of a user, a response brightness automatic adjustment range can be output, so that the electronic outside rear-view mirror screen adapts to the preference of the user, and the use comfort of the user is improved.
