The invention relates to disposable seawater temperature profile measurement equipment and method, the equipment comprises an instrument cabin, a floating body, a battery cabin and a test system which are connected in sequence, and the instrument cabin is used for accommodating and protecting an internal electrified system; the floating body is used for providing buoyancy for the equipment; the battery cabin is used for storing the power supply system and providing stress support for the floating body and the test system; the test system is used for collecting and measuring temperature data of seawater at different depths. According to the invention, simultaneous and synchronous acquisition of ocean multi-profile data can be realized, the problem of limited layout and recovery of ocean temperature and salt profile observation equipment under severe weather and sea conditions can be solved, and a breakthrough in construction of ocean temperature chain high-performance integrated equipment is realized; construction is made for ocean survey, ocean surveying and mapping, national ocean right and interest maintenance and national modern ocean defense.
