The invention relates to the technical field of auxiliary brake inspection, and discloses a quick inspection method for an escalator auxiliary brake, which comprises the following steps: step S101, adjusting an escalator to be in a maintenance state; step S102, carrying out conventional detection on the additional brake; the conventional detection comprises overspeed response detection, power supply response detection, safety circuit interruption detection, emergency closing detection, appearance detection, overspeed detection, braking distance detection and oil leakage fragment detection. According to the method, the brake pad abrasion loss parameter is calculated by combining brake pad parameters which can be directly obtained, such as the brake pad use duration parameter, the brake pad initial state parameter and the brake pad use frequency parameter, so that the parameters input into the residual performance judgment model can be more accurate; therefore, the output residual performance score of the additional brake is more accurate and is close to the actual situation, a brake pad of the additional brake does not need to be disassembled, and the operation is simpler and more convenient.
