The invention relates to a vehicle high beam control method and system and a storage medium, and the method comprises the steps that image information of a target area is obtained, and the target area corresponds to an irradiation area of a high beam; a target object is recognized according to the image information, target identification information and target position information of the target object are determined, and the target object is an object with the position variation exceeding a preset threshold value in the image information and/or a newly-added object in the image information; and the target identification information and the target position information are sent to a light source module through a serial communication bus, so that the light source module controls the light brightness of different light source areas of the high beam according to the target identification information and the target position information. In this way, the data volume transmitted between the automobile lamp controller and the light source module is reduced, even if the number of light sources on the high beam is large, the requirement for data transmission between the automobile lamp controller and the light source module can be met through the serial communication bus, and therefore the purpose of reducing hardware cost is achieved.
