There is provided a tower elevator, the tower elevator including: a rail module extending in a vertical direction; the sliding frame module can move along the track module in a magnetic suspension mode; and a brake device configured to move along the rail module integrally with the carriage module, in which the brake device includes: a first brake body configured to prevent the carriage module from falling by selective contact with the rail module; an elastic member provided above the first brake body and configured to apply an upward elastic force to the first brake body; and an actuator provided below the first brake body and configured to pull the first brake body downward through a rotary shaft connection structure connected to the first brake body.
