In some embodiments, the automatic charging method of the vehicle comprises the following steps: establishing wireless short-distance communication connection with a charging pile; detecting whether a charging plug in a charging port of the vehicle is butted in place or not; sending first prompt information to a charging pile connected with the vehicle according to the detection result; and in response to the detection result, indicating that the butt joint is in place, and receiving first locking confirmation information sent by a charging pile connected with the vehicle, locking the charging port.
