The invention discloses a method and a device for improving traffic efficiency of a signal lamp intersection under mixed traffic flow. The method comprises the following steps: determining first time when a straight vehicle arrives at a stop line of the intersection; determining the current state and the current state remaining time of the intersection straight signal lamp; if the current state is an impassable state, determining the duration of the next state of the straight-going signal lamp at the intersection, and further determining whether the straight-going vehicle is allowed to go straight by occupying a straight-going right-turn shared lane or a straight-going left-turn shared lane; and if the current state is the passable state, determining the duration of the next state of the straight-going signal lamp at the intersection and the duration of the next state, and further determining whether the straight-going vehicle is allowed to go straight by occupying the straight-going right-turn shared lane or the straight-going left-turn shared lane. According to the invention, the problem that the passing efficiency of the intersection is reduced due to the fact that the corresponding right-turn vehicles or left-turn vehicles cannot pass in time because the straight-going vehicles occupy the straight-going right-turn shared lane or the straight-going left-turn shared lane for a long time is solved.
