The present invention relates to precipitated silica having the following physicochemical parameters: CTAB 50 m2/g to 450 m2/g, BET/CTAB tilt; 1.3, the trailing factor 5% is greater than or equal to 150nm. The precipitated silica is prepared by reacting water glass with H2SO4 using various aging steps. The precipitated silica can be used to prepare rubber mixtures.
