A connection terminal (10) is provided with: a cylindrical terminal connection part (11) having a plurality of elastic contact pieces (21) arranged around a terminal center axis (X) and into which a counterpart terminal is fitted during fitting; a sliding portion (28) formed on the inner peripheral surface of the tip portion of the elastic contact piece (21); a contact part (27) positioned closer to the base side than the sliding part (28); a wear-resistant layer (45) provided on at least the sliding portion (28) of the tip of the elastic contact piece (21); and a high-conductivity layer (43) that is provided at least on the contact part (27) and that has a lower electrical resistance than the wear-resistant layer (45).
