The subject matter of the invention relates to a rubber mixture having improved wear resistance, consisting of a carbonate-functionalized elastomer and a reduced graphene oxide filler. The resulting rubber has comparable wear resistance and a better compromise of stiffness and energy dissipation as compared to rubber mixtures having a non-functionalized elastomer and a reduced graphene oxide reinforcement.
