A method for mitigating adversarial attacks includes receiving input data. The input data includes sensor data from a plurality of sensors and map data. The method also includes monitoring an environment around the autonomous vehicle in real-time to identify an area that may be subject to the attack and determining a probability of the attack in the area. The method further includes determining whether a probability of an adversarial attack in the area likely to be subjected to the adversarial attack is greater than a predetermined threshold, and in response, planning a motion of the autonomous vehicle by taking into account the adversarial attack to generate a planned motion. The method also includes controlling the host vehicle to move in accordance with the planned motion.
