The invention relates to an electric handrail which comprises a handrail body, a table board and a movement mechanism, the movement mechanism is arranged on the handrail body and comprises a motor, and the table board is connected with the movement mechanism. The movement mechanism is arranged to drive the table plate to move between a first position and a second position along a first direction relative to the armrest body through the motor, and to drive the table plate to move along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction while moving along the first direction relative to the armrest body; and the table plate can move between the second position and the third position. According to the electric armrest, the table plate can be driven by the motor to slide in the first direction and ascend and descend in the second direction relative to the armrest body, so that the table plate is lifted when unfolded and lowered when folded, the table plate is prevented from occupying space when folded, and the comfort of passengers is improved.
