The planar antenna includes a slot formed in a flat conductor, the slot including: a first slot extending in a first direction between a first power supply point and a second power supply point; a second slit extending in a second direction different from the first direction from an end portion of the first slit in the first direction; a third slit extending in a fourth direction opposite to the second direction from an end of the first slit in a third direction opposite to the first direction, and reaching an open end open in the fourth direction; and a J-shaped slit extending in a J-shape from an end portion of the second slit in the second direction to an open end open in the first direction, the slit width at the open end of the J-shaped slit being wider than the slit width at the end portion of the second slit in the second direction.
